We’re looking for more contributors. We want people posting on pretty much anything related to women in music. There are only a few things you need to know before signing up:
- At this point in time, we are only looking for female contributors. While we certainly want men discussing women in music too, Ladysound is intended to be mostly a by-women-for-women-about-women kind of thing, so we’re looking to build a solid base of women contributors first. We may be open to having men join at some point in the future, and of course men are more than welcome to read, comment on, link, and post (elsewhere) about Ladysound.
- You must agree to your posts being published on Ladysound.org and being made available under the Creative Commons license and attribution policy described in the sidebar. You retain all other rights to your writing. Note that Ladysound may have ads in the future to cover hosting costs; by agreeing to this, you are agreeing to allow your posts to possibly be published on a page with advertisements.
- Your posts should be somehow relevant to the topic of women in music.
- You can contribute as much or as little as you like. Writers who post once a month are welcome, and so are writers who post twice a week.
- You’re welcome to post about bands or projects that you’re involved in, but please make your relationship to the band/project clear in your post, and don’t overdo it—this isn’t really the place for daily updates on your band’s shows.
To become a contributor:
- Read this whole page.
- Sign up for an account.
- Email admin@ladysound.org and tell me that you’d like to be a contributor, that you’ve read this whole page, and what your username is.
When I get your email, I will make your account into one that can post stuff.
