Other sites

Currently, we are only listing resources aimed at music fans.  There also exist sites aimed at music industry professionals, which seem to be fairly easy to find with Google.  If you know of other sites that should be listed here, tell us.

  • Church of Girl—Awesome site with all-girl streaming radio, interviews, and a huge link database with artists, labels and music sites.  Plus other stuff.  If you’re annoyed with how short this list is, try their music links.  Hint: the navigation links are the little stars in the top left.
  • Ladyfest.tv—Information about Ladyfests and similar events.
  • Girls Rock & Girls Rule—A women-in-rock-music site.  Check out their newish “Hotsheet” feature, it’s got some good interviews and such.
  • FEMMUSIC—Site about women in music with interviews, CD reviews, some news, and even a few things that don’t rhyme with “ooze”.
  • Girls Rock Camp Alliance (GRCA)—A coalition of girls’ music projects, including the original Rock’n'Roll Camp for Girls in Portland, Oregon.
  • Girls Rock Camp Vancouver—Another girls rock camp.  Listed separately because it’s not a member of the GRCA yet.
  • RockerGirl Camp—Another girls rock camp that isn’t listed in GRCA.  This one is held in Victoria, Edmonton, and Calgary.
  • The Cover Zone—Site about women in rock music.  Run by a production company, last updated June 2008.  Has some good interviews.
