www.char2d2.com has finally launched.  It is one of the nicest artist websites I have ever seen.  No, really.  Go look.

Here’s a variety of things that I  haven’t gotten around to posting about:

• char2d2’s small vampires ep was released Tuesday and is currently Maple Music’s top seller.  Also, char2d2 has put up several cool videos.
• Church of Girl has announced their radio stars for June.  Congratulations to Star Anna and the Laughing Dogs and Kristi Rae.
• MEN is starting the North American leg of their tour.
• The Donnas are releasing a compilation to celebrate their sixteenth anniversary as a band. (hat tip: Aversion)
• Jenn Grant was interviewed on from CKCU 93.1FM in Ottawa (hat tip: NxEW)

• Charla McCutcheon was indeed interviewed on CBC Radio 3 today.  She talked about her new project, char2d2, and her upcoming EP, Small Vampires.  The interview also included bits about Bella, That Girl With Dark Eyes (Tiffany Garrett Sotomayor’s new project), Paris, Tegan Quin (who produced Small Vampires), and Abbotsford.  There’s a more in-depth interview with her on Dotca’s Blog.
• Now that I’ve mentioned Tegan, it’s about time I linked to Tegan and Sara’s new website.  It’s very nice, and all regularly updated and stuff.  You should go look at it.
• The Girls’ Guide To Rocking is out.  It’s a new book by Jessica Hopper which provides guidance on rocking, aimed at girls (there’s a better description at the publisher’s site).  CBC Radio 3 had a post (with video!) about it.  Plus also, Jessica was interviewed at Girls Rock & Girls Rule, which is a very cool site that I will add to the links page as soon as I finish writing this.
• Spinner interviewed The Sounds frontwoman Maja Ivarsson about being a woman in rock.
• You can vote on which song gets added to Allison Weiss’ new album!
  
• Ladyfest Ottawa is holding a whole bunch of cool-looking workshops a week from Saturday.
